OUR SPECIAL GUESTS TODAY are Paul and Eve Yang, who are visiting Houston to attend a conference this week. Paul is a PhD candidate at Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky and Eve is the senior pastor at a large church in Tianjin Province in China.

THE FLOWER CHART for 2016 has been posted in the foyer. You are invited to sign up for a date to provide the altar flowers in honor of a loved one or a special occasion in your family. Just sign your name by the date you have chosen – you’ll get a reminder card in the mail shortly before your chosen date.

LADIES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND a new Sunday school class that begins on Sunday, January 10th at 9:30 a.m. in the Bride’s Room. True Woman 101, written by Mary A. Kassian and Nancy Lee Demoss is an eight week course with foundational teaching and insight from God’s word that will be led by Teresa Wentz. Books will be provided. If you would like to participate please call or e-mail Teresa before December 28th to reserve your free copy.

YOU ARE INVITED to attend a Refugee Services of Texas informational meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6th in the Coffee Café. We will discuss what volunteer opportunities are available and how we might better serve the refugees in our community.

LADIES, stop by the kiosk to pick up a brochure for our 2016 Women’s Retreat – Bread of Life. We will be heading to T Bar M Resort in New Braunfels, January 29th – 31st. Our speaker this year will be Cindy Dawson and we welcome Katie Newton as our worship leader. The cost for quadruple occupancy is $170 (there are also a limited number of single occupancy rooms) if your registration form and $100 deposit are received in the church office by Friday, January 15th. INTRODUCTION TO FRIENDSWOOD FRIENDS CHURCH: Would you like to know more about what this church believes and how it began? Come to this informal gathering, which is designed to help you meet others and understand our church. We will meet Sunday, January 17th in the Coffee Café following the 10:45 a.m. service and finish by 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. A light lunch will be served. CALLING ALL JR & SR HIGH STUDENTS! We are forming a singing group that will learn worship music and then present it on Sunday mornings several times a year. NEW YEAR’S EVE PRAYER & COMMUNION: Begin the New Year with prayer! The Worship Center will be open between 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31st. You may come and go any time in between. Communion will be available at the altar for those who desire. No childcare is provided.
REMINDER: IRS regulations require that any contributions that you wish to have included in your 2015 statement be received at the church office by noon on Thursday, December 31st OR be postmarked on or before the 31st.
