DUDE CAMP “SHINE LIKE STARS”: Is coming up from June 2nd through 5th. Students finishing 3rd through 5th grade will travel by charter bus to Forest Glen Christian Camp (near Huntsville) for an amazing time of games, swimming, hiking, singing, and lots of other great activities. The cost is $265 (FFC attenders receive a $50 scholarship); register with your $50 deposit by April 15th. For registrations after the 15th, pay the entire $265. Pick up a brochure from the church office and plan to join us for a great time of having fun and learning about God. Please contact Janet Black with any questions.

THANK YOU for your great response to our Missions Commitment Sunday! So far we have 36 individuals or families who have committed to pray regularly for our missionaries, and we received pledges of $30,600 toward our 2016 goal of $55,000. It’s not too late to turn in your commitment card! You can pick up a card from the kiosk and either put it in the offering plate any Sunday, send it in the mail or drop it by the church office. Don’t forget to pick up one of the refrigerator magnets from the kiosk as well, as a reminder to “Reach Out”.

ITEMS MOST NEEDED FOR THE FOOD PANTRY at this time are macaroni & cheese, peanut butter, jelly, and personal care products. Thank you for helping us to bless those in our community who are in need!
ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST, we will be recognizing our former church custodian, Virginia Escobar Echeverria, who recently retired following 17 years of service to the church. Virginia will be with us for both worship services, and following the 10:45 a.m. service you are invited to stay for a few minutes to greet Virginia and express your thanks to her. Light refreshments will be served.

“SPRING INVASION”, our biannual spring break mission trip to Mexico for senior high and college students, will take place March 12th – 18th. This short-term missions program gives students the opportunity to experience a week of ministry in a cross-cultural context. The deposit for the trip is $225, plus you will need to take along $50 for travel meals. It is hoped that the remainder of our travel expenses will be offset by fundraising projects. Registration is now open – go to www.efcmaym.org. A passport is required for trip participation. Orientation will be Saturday Feb, 27th in the Friends Center and Fundraiser Taco Lunch on Sunday Feb 28th in the Coffee Café. If you have questions, contact David Jaimes.

THE WOMEN’S EVENING BIBLE STUDY Spring Session will begin February 24th at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Kimberly Sheets. The study will be Open Your Bible, by Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams. Bible study books will be available to purchase for $14.99 the first night of the study.

OYSTER CREEK MINISTRY DONATION REQUESTS Rental rates in Oyster Creek are rapidly increasing because of the many plant projects in the area. Rates are now in the $800 – $1000 a month range. I would like to start sharing money-saving techniques with the moms who attend the Monthly Bible Schools with their kids. Will you drop off your extra coupons from the Sunday paper in the Coffee Café on Sundays? There will be a specially marked box for them. Donations of living inexpensively types of books or magazines would be helpful, too. I think we can help many of them become more resourceful. If you have any twin mattresses/frames that you no longer need, there is a family in OC who could really use them. Contact Diane Leaverton for pick-up arrangements. There is a card ministry at Friendly Grounds. Birthday card donations would be helpful for families and AA members. The dates for Oyster Creek VBS are July 18th – 22nd. We would love to have the youth help again this year!

SAVE THE DATE for our 2016 VBS “Cave Quest” June 20th-24th. Registration will begin soon!
