CONGRATULATIONS to Blake & Jennifer Barmore on the birth of their daughter, Isla Jane Barmore, on Friday, February 12th. Our congratulations and best wishes also go to the proud grandparents, Mike & Anna Barmore.

THERE ARE JUST A FEW COPIES left of our Lenten devotional, “Gospeled Lives.” The cost is $15. If you would like a copy, please contact the church office this week.
NO TECH TUESDAYS: As another opportunity to fast during the Lenten season and as an experiment in simplicity, several of the young adults in the church would like to invite you to participate with us in fasting from technology on Tuesdays, as you are able! Outside of devices that are immediately necessary for the day, we will be fasting by turning off or avoiding phones, television, computers, social media, etc. and using the time instead on our own for study, prayer, family time, or service. All you have to do to participate is fast on your own, and after Easter we will have opportunities for us to share our thoughts and experiences with one another on this experiment. Join us if you’re interested!
DUDE CAMP “SHINE LIKE STARS”: Is coming up from June 2nd through 5th. Students finishing 3rd through 5th grade will travel by charter bus to Forest Glen Christian Camp (near Huntsville) for an amazing time of games, swimming, hiking, singing, and lots of other great activities. The cost is $265 (FFC attenders receive a $50 scholarship); register with your $50 deposit by April 15th. For registrations after the 15th, pay the entire $265. Pick up a brochure from the church office and plan to join us for a great time of having fun and learning about God. Please contact Janet Black with any questions.
YOU ARE INVITED to a reception in honor of David and Beverly Rosenfeld on Sunday, February 28th from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Coffee Café. The Rosenfelds have been part of this congregation for about 15 years, and now they are moving to Dallas. We are grateful for all of the ways that David and Beverly have blessed us over these past years; we will miss them greatly. Please come by next Sunday to help send them off with our love, prayers and best wishes.

TODAY WE ARE RECOGNIZING our former church custodian, Virginia Escobar Echeverria, who recently retired following 17 years of service to the church. Following the 10:45 a.m. service you are invited to stay for a few minutes to greet Virginia and express your thanks to her. Light refreshments will be served.
“SPRING INVASION”, our biannual spring break mission trip to Mexico for senior high and college students, will take place March 12th – 18th. This short-term missions program gives students the opportunity to experience a week of ministry in a cross-cultural context. The cost for the trip is $225, plus you will need to take along $50 for travel meals. It is hoped that the remainder of our travel expenses will be offset by fundraising projects. Registration is now open – go to www.efcmaym.org. A passport is required for trip participation. Orientation will be Saturday Feb, 27th from 9 – 11 a.m. in the Friends Center and Fundraiser Taco Lunch at 12 p.m. on Sunday Feb 28th in the Coffee Café. THE WOMEN’S EVENING BIBLE STUDY Spring Session will begin February 24th at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Kimberly Sheets. The study will be Open Your Bible, by Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams. Bible study books will be available to purchase for $14.99 the first night of the study.
TACO LUNCH FUNDRAISER NEXT SUNDAY! You are invited to stay for lunch following the 10:45 a.m. worship service next Sunday, February 28th. The meal of Mexican street tacos, rice and beans will be catered by Habaneros and served by our students; the goal is to help our students raise funds for their spring break trip to Mexico. We need a headcount, so if you plan to attend please write “tacos” next to your name in the attendance register, along with the number of people from your family who will be attending. There is not a set price for the meal, but we hope that you will give generously to help support this mission trip.
