YOU ARE INVITED to join us on Thursday, January 18th at 1:30 p.m. to hear guest speaker Helen Streaker share about healing in her life. Helen, the cousin of former member Charlene Littlefield, was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through many painful treatments over a period of 10 years, including surgery, radiation, reconstruction and chemotherapy. When Helen’s cancer recurred, she found out about a procedure called cryoablation which is done in a doctor’s office and takes just half an hour, with no pain, downtime or side effects. Helen is so thankful that God allowed her to learn of this treatment and avoid the pain and suffering that she went through for her initial occurrence of cancer, so she wants to share the information with others. She will share a brief (20 minutes) scripture-based talk about her experience, provide handouts for those who would like to do additional research, and answer any questions. Everyone is welcome – the meeting will take place in the Brides Room. One in 8 women (as well as some men) experience breast cancer at some point in their lives, and nearly all of us have a family member or friend who is affected by this disease, so this will be helpful information.
