Mexico Team Update – March 15

Our Mexico team will be heading back to Friendswood tomorrow after a great week of ministry!  About 100 kids participated in the VBS programs in Agujita and Los Cerros.  The “old wall” at the Agujita church is now down, and scaffolding is being put in place for construction of the new wall, which will provide more space for this growing congregation.  Next…

Volunteer opportunity – Harvey relief

For the next few days, we will be helping to do some painting in 2 homes that flooded during Harvey.  On Thursday and Friday afternoons a group will be painting at Hunter and Kayla Lee’s home in Friendswood.  If you can help, contact the church office or Kim Page.  If you are willing travel a little further to volunteer, Tom Samson will be leading a group to some…

Mexico team update – Tuesday 3/13

Thanks for praying for our Mexico team!  They had a great day on Monday. The construction project for the day was removing a wall from the Agujita church, to make more room for the growing congregation.  A new wall, further back, will be built later this week.  There were about 50 kids for the first day of VBS, with even more expected today.  Everyone is enjoying the…

Mexico team update – Monday 3/12

Our Mexico team arrived in Agujita at 1:30 on Sunday afternoon. They are being hosted with great hospitality and generosity by their host families. The team enjoyed a nice dinner and a worship service yesterday evening, followed by a good night’s rest in their host homes. Please pray for them today as they minister through work projects and VBS!

Mexico team update – Saturday 3/10

Our team of students and leaders for the 2018 “Spring Invasion” had a good trip to Eagle Pass.  They will rest at the hotel tonight and cross the border tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.  The plan for Sunday (once they get through immigration, customs, etc. and arrive at the destination) is to have a meal with all of the team members from other churches at Agujita,…
