FUN RUN REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE TODAY in the Coffee Café! The missions team is sponsoring our 2nd annual Hometown Fun Run on Saturday, April 6th. We hope that you will join us for the 1 mile or 5K races. Runners and walkers are both welcome. This is a great opportunity to get some exercise and enjoy being with others from our church and community, all while supporting missions. Stop by the Coffee Café today, or on March 10th or 17th to sign up, or you can register online at www.hometownfunrun.com. The early registration prices are good through March 17th. The 5k race costs $36 for ages 12 and up, $25 for 11 and under.  The one mile family race costs $15 for kids and $21 for adults & chaperones (children 2 and under are free.) On March 18, prices for all events increase by $5. If you don’t want to run in the race, would you consider volunteering? Lots of helpers will be needed to make the race a success.  Contact Molly Black for more information.

OUR HEARTFELT GRATITDE goes to Walt Hansen, who has served as our Coordinator for Facilities over the past several years. Walt has invested a tremendous amount of time and effort toward maintaining our church facilities and making improvements. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, he not only worked hard on issues directly related to our own church campus, but also worked with others from our congregation to help coordinate our relief efforts in the community. We are so grateful for Walt’s generosity in giving of his time and skills to bless our congregation and our community. Walt is stepping down from his position as Facilities Coordinator, but the things that he accomplished in this role will continue to be a blessing for years to come. Next time you see Walt, take a moment to thank him! Our new Coordinator for Facilities is Bill Simons. We welcome Bill to this role and ask that you support him with your prayers and possibly some volunteer hours! It takes a large team to keep our facilities in working order, and we anticipate many projects in the coming months. If you can get involved, please get in touch with Bill or the church office.

REMINDER: VBS registration will begin on March 4th online at https://vbspro.events/p/events/ffcvbs2019. Our 2019 Vacation Bible School will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on June 24th – 28th. This year’s theme is Roar: Life is wild, God is Good. VBS is open to children from age 3 through completing 5th grade. The $30 registration fee includes a VBS T-shirt, daily snacks, crafts and games, water day, songs, stories, and making new friends. VBS VOLUNTEERS: It takes over 100 volunteers to put on our VBS, so junior and senior high students and adults are encouraged to consider helping out.
