BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MARCH 17, 2019

Message: David Bridges

“Everyday Neighbors”

Matthew 20.1-16

THE FLOWERS ON THE ALTAR TODAYare given by Kay Griffin in celebration of God’s blessings to our family. I give thanks to God for the birth of my beautiful, healthy great-niece, Peyton Avery Mertz, and for the life of my Aunt Mary, who celebrates her birthday today.  God’s mercies are new every morning – to God be the glory!

WALTER WILSON passed away Monday morning, March 11th. Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Bettye and the Wilson family. The memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 6th at noon in the Worship Center. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 5th from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Worship Center.

OUR VBS IS FULL – we filled up in record time this year, 2 hours after opening enrollment to the community. Now we need lots of VOLUNTEERS to help share God’s love with the children who will be on our campus from June 24-28. If you can help, look for the link on our website to sign up, or contact Janet Black.

FRIENDS DISASTER SERVICE is in need of a place to park/store two trailers and one RV. If you have property and would be willing to have the trailers parked on it, please contact Kim Page.

COUPLES ARE INVITED to attend “Healthy Connections”, a marriage forum hosted by the Christian Counseling Center on Saturday, March 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The sessions, led by licensed counselors, will touch on keys to a healthy marriage, how to renew your connection with your spouse, showing love and respect, and how to deal with conflict. The cost of $30 per couple includes childcare.  For more information or to register, call 281-482-3882.

FUN RUN REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE TODAY in the Coffee Café! The missions team is sponsoring our 2nd annual Hometown Fun Run on Saturday, April 6th. Runners and walkers are both welcome. This is a great opportunity to get some exercise and enjoy being with others from our church and community, all while supporting missions. Stop by the Coffee Café today, or you can register online at www.hometownfunrun.com. Today is the final day for early registration. The 5k race costs $36 for ages 12 and up, $25 for 11 and under. The one mile family race costs $15 for kids and $21 for adults & chaperones (children 2 and under are free.) On March 18th, prices for all events increase by $5. If you don’t want to run in the race, would you consider volunteering? Lots of helpers will be needed to make the race a success. Contact Molly Black for more information.
