We will meet on Sunday, February 16th in the Brides Room immediately following the service and finish by shortly after noon. Everyone is welcome. Child care will be available by advance reservation only. Please contact the church office by Wednesday, February 12th with the ages of your children if you would like to arrange for childcare during this meeting.

JOIN US on Sunday, February 16th for a come and go “sprinkle” to welcome Hunter and Kayla Lee’s  2nd bundle of joy. Samuel Charles Lee is expected to arrive late February and we want to sprinkle the Lees with replacements for the baby supplies Harvey washed away. Please bring any gently used baby supplies to the Coffee Café on February 16th and show the Lee’s some Friendswood Friends love. Please contact Glenda McDonald at chaplainglenda@gmail.com to find out what they need. We are also collecting “diapers and dollars” – stop by our Baby money tree and join us for light refreshments from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

TODAY IS MISSIONS COMMITMENT SUNDAY! In this morning’s service we will focus on celebrating and learning more about the ministries that our church is involved in around the world. We ask you to prayerfully consider making a commitment to be a part of these ministries through prayer and/or giving.  Our theme for 2020 is “Let His light shine!”

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 ESV

Our goal for 2020 is to raise $54,000 to help support the  ministries of our many missionaries. You will find a commitment card in today’s bulletin where you can let us know how God is leading you to be a part of our missions projects through prayer and financial support. If you would like to take more time to pray about this before responding, feel free to take the commitment card with you and return it to the church office or place it in the offering plate sometime in the next few weeks. If you are newer to our congregation, we encourage you to stop by the missions table in the foyer to pick up some of the materials there that give more information about our mission work around the world. Thanks for all that you do to help support and encourage our missionaries!

YOU ARE INVITED to a wedding shower in honor of Molly Black and Daniel De La Cerda on Sunday, February 2nd from 2-3:30 pm. This event is for BOTH men and women, so that Daniel will have the opportunity to meet more of the men in our congregation. We hope that you will join us to celebrate with them; come and go anytime between 2 and 3:30. There will be an interview with Molly and Daniel as well as a time of prayer for them shortly after 2. The couple is registered at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

SAVE THE DATE! You are invited to share in the joy of Molly Black and Daniel De La Cerda as they are united in marriage on Saturday, February 29th. The wedding will take place in the Worship Center at 3 p.m, and everyone is welcome to attend.  Refreshments will be served in the Coffee Café following the ceremony.
