MEALS FOR LEAVERTON FAMILY

THERE ARE A FEW SPOTS LEFT on the sign up list for meals for the Leaverton family. If you would like to help out, please call the church office or sign up on line at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080948a8af2ba6f85-meals. We also continue to collect magazines for the patient waiting areas at MD Anderson. If you have some to donate, just bring them to the church office.

“SUMMER SUNDAYS”!

“SUMMER SUNDAYS” continue through August 13th. Everyone is invited to come enjoy breakfast, which will be served at 9:00 a.m., followed by a brief, intergenerational liturgy of scripture and prayer, then a combined worship service at 10 a.m. If you would like to volunteer to help with one of the breakfasts, please contact Gayle Jircik or the church office.

KIDS OPEN GYM

OPEN GYM for kids 3 years through 5th grade begins on June 5th and will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays this year from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Friends Center. The cost is $2 per child per session. Children under 3 are welcome to attend with a parent at no charge. 

GET READY FOR KIDS CAN DO

KIDS CAN DO on Wednesday evenings, begins September 6th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Friends Center. KCD is open to kids ages 3 years through 5th grade and is focused on serving others. We do things like put together “Blessing Bags” to be distributed to the needy and the homeless, make crafts for our local Meals on Wheels clients, sing at nearby nursing homes, make…

KIDS’ HOPE USA

We need new volunteers to work as either mentors, prayer partners, or substitute mentors this year! Our Kids’ Hope program partners adults in our congregations with at-risk students from Westwood and Bales. Mentors meet with students one-on-one for one hour each week during normal school hours to serve as a positive role model and friend for their student. Prayer partners…
