Funeral information for Ron Worden

We were sorry to learn of Ron Worden’s death last Thursday morning and grieve with Ron’s son Mark and Mark’s wife Lori.  Viewing will be held at Jeter’s Funeral home on Wednesday, July 1 at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Jeter’s.

New class begins June 23 – The Color of Compromise

On June 23rd, we’ll begin a video study on the book by Jemar Tisby, The Color of Compromise. The study explores the history of the American church’s role in the oppression of Black people and ends by calling us to anti-racist work. There is room for up to 30 people in the Coffee Café to participate, and others of you can participate through a live Zoom feed that we hope will make it easy to interact with those who are at the church. VBS Update

Dear VBS kids and parents, We hope that all of you are staying safe and healthy during this difficult time.  You have been in our thoughts and prayers!  Sadly, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel this year’s VBS.  With nearly 300 kids and over 100 helpers involved, there is no way that we can provide the social distancing needed to keep everyone safe. Looking for Photos! Latest Closure Information

Our Ministry Coordinators met on May 5th and agreed to continue the suspension of in-person worship until at least June 14.  That makes June 14 the earliest date we might gather again for worship.  The Coordinators also agreed to continue the closure of the church office and all other in-person church events until June 14 with the exceptions of ministries that help the most vulnerable like our food pantry, meals on wheels, and family promise.  Of course, study groups and…
