Our church sends a group of volunteers to “Lord of the Streets” in downtown Houston each Tuesday. We take a shower trailer as well as toiletries and new or used clothing, and provide the opportunity for about 50 homeless men and women to be able to take a shower and change into some clean clothes. Sunday School classes for all ages will resume meeting on Sunday, August 21st at 9 am. Children and teens meet in age-grouped classes where they enjoy snacks and fun along with learning important truths from the Bible. Bible Quiz is a program for seventh and eighth grade students. This year we are studying the book of Matthew. We practice on Sundays at 4:45 pm, and then have travel to several weekend tournaments that take place at different churches within our Mid America family of Friends churches.
