World Missions World Missions is an important part of the ministry of Friendswood Friends Church. Through our denominational mission organization, Evangelical Friends Mission, we help to support mission work all over the world – in places like Nepal, Mexico, Rwanda, Ireland, Hungary, India, and the Philippines. Friendswood Friends Cemetery The Friendswood Friends Cemetery is certified by the Texas Historical Commission as a “Texas Historic Cemetery.” It was established in 1895 just months after the first settlers arrived. Friendswood co-founder, Frank J. Brown, donated the land and laid out the cemetery with its two private roads crossing at the center.
