David once played and still enjoys a lot of sports, especially Notre Dame football and Houston Astros baseball. He likes to read and fish and he used to water ski a lot until he got old. Some of his favorite authors are Eugene Peterson, Walter Brueggemann, Miroslov Volf, Lee Child, Toni Morrison, Ta Nehisi Coats, and John Steinbeck.
David has a bachelor’s degree from Tabor College in Management and Organizational Development and a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Seminary.
David has served and worked among Friends both in local churches and regional denominational offices. He’s been at Friendswood Friends since 2000, becoming the senior pastor in 2005. He cares about building relationships with others—especially those who have different experiences and narratives than he does.
David is super proud of his wife Rochelle, who owns Friendswood Family Counseling, and their four grown children.
