SUMMARY:Shower Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Our church sends a group of volunteers to “Lord of the Street
 s” in downtown Houston each Tuesday. We take a shower trailer as well as
  toiletries and new or used clothing\, and provide the opportunity for abo
 ut 50 homeless men and women to be able to take a shower and change into s
 ome clean clothes. There are several ways that you can get involved:\n\n 	
 Volunteer to go along to help out – it can be every week\, once a month\
 , or whatever fits your schedule.\n 	Donate gently used clothing – we es
 pecially need men’s pants\, belts\, shoes and shirt. Clothing donations 
 can be dropped off anytime on the bench outside Friends Center – just ma
 rk them as shower ministry.\n 	Donate new underwear or toiletries\, or fun
 ds to help us purchase these items.\n\nIf you would like more information\
