The Ten Commandments give clear rules on how we should respect and interact with God and with each other. As many stories in the Old Testament show, good rules don’t necessarily make a good society, so how do we pass down the important? The commandments are a starting place and not an ending place. The call is to move past the rules to a place of love. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Deuteronomy 6:5-6
