Tena Roher serves as the Children’s Pastor at the Friends Church with a deep passion for helping children and families grow in their relationship with Christ. Tena graduated from Barclay College with degrees in Bible and Children’s Ministry and, the weekend after graduation, married the love of her life, Nathan Roher. After completing college and language school in Costa Rica, they returned to Nathan’s hometown of Friendswood, where they have faithfully been part of the Friends church family ever since. Later, Tena also went on to earn her Early Childhood (EC–8) degree in Education further equipping her for her years of service working with children and families.

Together, Tena and Nathan have raised four children in the Friendswood community. Before joining the church staff, Tena faithfully served the community for many years as an elementary school teacher, investing in the lives of children both inside and outside the classroom.

Tena’s heart for ministry is centered on walking alongside parents in the midst of raising young families while helping children and families bring praise and attention to God through the lens of child-like love, wonder, and faith.
