| Family Promise We are looking forward to our next host week February 15th-22nd where we will transform Friends Center into bedrooms for families in the Family Promise program. There are multiple different opportunities to serve, from hosting a meal to staying over night, and if you would like more information on how to serve you can contact the church office or sign-up to volunteer below. Volunteer for Family Promise Parent’s Night Out Parents, we have an exciting announcement! Ms. Tena and the VBS Peru team are hosting a Parent’s Night Out on February 6th from 5:30-7:30 pm for potty trained kids 3 years old – 5th grade. Games will be played, dinner will be served, crafts will be made, and a whole lot of fun will be had! The cost is $25/child with a max of $75/family. | Dude Camp Registration Dude Camp Registration for Friendswood Friends 5th graders begins this Sunday, February 1st in the Coffee Cafe. Registration will open to all 5th graders in the community on February 10th. Dude Camp dates are May 24th-27th and the cost will be $385. Contact Tena Roher if you have any questions. |
| Giving Grids Spring Connection participants are fundraising for their travel costs with a Giving Grid. Next Sunday, February 8th, right after the worship service, the congregation will have a chance to donate towards the travel fees of those attending. | Meals on Wheels Meals on Wheels is in need of more delivery drivers. This is an easy commitment as you would only need to deliver one day each nine weeks. If you would like to volunteer on an as needed basis, we are also looking for substitute drivers. Karen Kirkpatrick is happy to answer any questions about how to get started in serving with this group. | Women’s Evening Bible Study A Women’s Evening Bible Study meets on Wednesday evenings at Patty Lee’s home from 6:30-8:00 pm. They will be studying from Luke: Gut-Level Compassion and that book can be ordered below. The began on January 21st, but you are still welcome to join. | Weekly Prayer in the Chapel Prayer in the Chapel on Tuesday meets tonight from 6:00-7:30 pm. This is a space open to everyone of all ages. You are welcome to find a quiet place to sit and be with the Lord, or you may use one of the boxes for guided prayer instruction. You are also welcome to utilize the Chapel for prayer anytime during church office hours. |
