Welcome to Friendswood Friends Church. We would love to help you find ways to connect with others from our congregation and to use the gifts God has given you. There are many opportunities to serve and engage with us both weekly and seasonally. ADULT
MINISTRIES
SUNDAY SCHOOL
SUNDAYS | 9:00am – 9:50am |
Sunday School classes for all age groups take place at 9am. During the school year, the adult Sunday School class meets in the Bride’s Room (located in the main building, between the Coffee Café and church offices); preschoolers and students K-12 meet in Friends Center. From June through mid August, we have a multi-generational gathering in the Coffee Cafe. Everyone is welcome to join us for light refreshments and guided conversations.
WORSHIP SERVICE
SUNDAYS | 10:00am – 11:00am | WORSHIP CENTER
Our Sunday worship service runs from 10:00 to 11:00am. We sing a mixture of hymns (accompanied by piano and organ) and praise songs accompanied by a band.
ALL CHURCH BIBLE STUDY
SUNDAYS | 5:00pm – 6:00pm | COFFEE CAFE
Led by pastor Bobby Kirkpatrick, this Bible study meets in the Coffee Café during the school year. We will resume our study of the book of Acts in the fall – watch for information regarding the date.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Wednesday morning Bible studies for ladies take place in the spring and the fall in the Coffee Cafe – check the calendar for details. There is also a Wednesday evening Bible study that meets in a home. Our Women’s Ministry team hosts retreats and special events throughout the year.
COMMON PRAYER FOR MEN
WEDNESDAYS | 6:30am – 7:15am | COFFEE CAFE
This group meets Wednesday mornings for brief fellowship and prayer at 6:30am. A few minutes are spent talking about life and then liturgy-guided Scripture reading. Prayer time concludes by 7:15am.
