| This year, I am directing high school and junior high camps at Camp Quaker Haven. I’m sure you’ve seen, but our theme this year is Deep Dive. Over the last few months, I’ve spent quite some time and will continue to spend time each week in the camp theme passage. The verses from Ephesians teach us about the profound nature of God’s love and the transformative power it holds in our lives. It also challenges us to deepen our understanding of God’s love and to allow it to shape every aspect of our lives. Ephesians 3:17-19 says, “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” This love is not just any love but the love of Christ, which surpasses our human understanding and comprehension. The prayer continues, asking that each of us might have the power to grasp the dimensions of Christ’s love – its width, length, height, and depth. To me, all four dimensions mentioned are all-encompassing. The love of God is wide enough to include and embrace all people. The love of God is long enough to reach us now and for eternity. The love of God is high enough to lift us up to heavenly places. The love of God is deep enough to reach the darkest depths of our hearts.As I continue to prepare for camp, I am reflecting on the immeasurable love of Christ that surrounds us, sustains us, and transforms us. I pray that our students and those attending camp, and that you, my Friendswood Friends family, have the strength to comprehend this love more fully and to live in its abundance every day. Missions Night Last Sunday, the Missions Team hosted a fun night of crafts and snacks at booths themed to each country coordinating with our Missionary Families as well as a sweet time of prayer. We are thankful for our Missions Team for providing such a great event and to all the families that came to support missions.Still ongoing is the “Pick a Flower” Fundraiser. Stop by the Coffee Cafe to grab a flower for the amount you would like to donate to Missions. Bible Quiz Finals We are hosting the 2024 Bible Quiz Finals on Saturday, April 27 from 8-2ish. There will be many people on our campus that weekend, would you be praying for this event? We are also in need of 30+ volunteers. Specifically, we need judges and scorekeepers during the meet. If you have an interest in volunteering, please reach out to Katelyn Sanders. Community Prayer Breakfast The Community Prayer Breakfast will be hosted in the Coffee Cafe on Saturday, April 20th.
