Tweens:
Tweens is a time for 5th graders to make new friends and have fun while also learning how to cope with some of the issues that preteens face, such as handling peer pressure. We meet in the Friends Center on Thursdays, from 3:15-4:30, for snacks, games, and a brief devotional. All 5th graders are welcome! The registration link will be published for the community next week. The first Tweens meeting is September 14 and will meet weekly through May 2. For more information, contact Tena Roher.
Gym Kids:
Gym Kids returns on September 22. Gym Kids is a structured time for kids. Moms are free to take a break while their kids are busy using their gross motor skills and learning about Jesus. We welcome potty-trained children aged 3-5 years old. Ms. Tena and Ms. Grace Kirkpatrick will be leading classes every Friday from 9:00-10:00 AM. Tuition is $25 a month; check the church email for the registration link or contact Ms. Tena for additional information.
Sunday Night Bible Study:
Sunday Nights in the Coffee Café, Bobby and Josh are hosting a study over the book of Luke from 5:00-6:00 PM. This study is designed to allow flexibility for regular attendance or attending as your schedule allows, and it is a time to get to know our pastors and one another in community. Kidzone for children ages 3-5th grade also takes place from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Friends Center. If you would like to attend the bible study but have children younger than 3 years old in need of childcare, please reach out to the church office and we will schedule nursery workers.
Friends Women Fall Retreat:
The Friends Women Fellowship is holding its “Call on Me” Friends Women Retreat in League City on October 13th – 15th. More details are posted on the church website and brochures can be found in the foyer of the Worship Center. If you would like to attend the retreat you can follow the link to register here.
Fall Potluck:
Plan to stay after the service on September 10 to enjoy a meal and fellowship at the Fall Potluck in the Coffee Café. If cooking/preparing food is not your gift, but you would still like to participate in providing for the meal, there are plenty of opportunities to help with setting up before the service and cleaning after the meal. Follow the link to sign up electronically or look for the paper sign-up in the Coffee Café.
Meet the Friends:
Meet the Friends is an informational and introductory class for anyone interested in learning about the church’s history, what it means to be a Quaker, or get to know our pastors. It is also a great way to interact with others new to the church family. The next Meet the Friends meeting will take place on September 24th in the Coffee Café after the service. Childcare is provided. We would love to see you there.
Sunday Morning Attendance Register:
The Sunday morning attendance register can be found by QR code on the screen during the rolling announcements before the service and on cards on the backs of the pews. Thank you for registering your attendance weekly. Not only does this allow us to manage church attendance and update contact information, but we also hope that you feel encouraged to include any prayer requests. Our staff will be intentional and specific in praying for these requests throughout the week.
The Lord appeared to them from a distance: I have loved you with a love that lasts forever. And so with unfailing love, I have drawn you to myself. Jeremiah 31:3
