Children’s Ministry Update
In Children’s Church last week,  we learned some Bible basics:

The Bible is made up of 66 individual books to make one big book with a BIG theme!

The Old Testament and the New Testament are not mainly about us; they are about Jesus. The Old Testament tells us what it was like before Jesus and the New Testament teaches us about after Jesus was born.

The Bible is not mainly about what we must do, but it tells us what God has done.

The story of the Bible is all about the one true God who created everything and loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to save us!

This week we attempted memorizing the first 10 books of the Old Testament (really 12), and how to find and memorize Genesis 1:1 (In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth).

If you would like to help your child to memorize the verse and first 10 books here are a couple of fun ways you could do this:

Write the names of the books or the verse on 10 cups (combine 1 & 2 Samuel and 1& 2 Kings) seeing who can SAY and STACK the cups the quickest.

Another fun way to memorize this information is by saying the verse or books in order as you do Hopscotch.
Learning about the Bible is so much fun!
