Greetings in Christ’s name!

It’s great to get back to Texas weather today! I was so thankful for Marvin and Scott Lee last week. They came and insulated the pipes and vulnerable places around our campus in preparation for the freeze.  Marvin and Scott also provide the flowers in the beds around the entrance to the worship center.  Over the years, they’ve given thousands of hours and probably thousands of dollars’ worth of inventory to make our church look beautiful and welcoming.

I was also thankful for the people who helped take down the luminaries on Sunday after worship. The Boyer family, Tim and Keoni Parker, Graham and Bobby Kirkpatrick, and our custodian Milka, braved the cold and helped clean up the luminaries that our pastors’ and former pastors’ families put together and set up on Saturday morning.

This Week:

Please join us on New Year’s Eve for the Lord’s Supper between 6pm and 7pm.  When you enter the worship room, you can sit in a pew and pray until you’re ready to come forward to the kneeling benches to be served.  When you’re ready, either Bobby Kirkpatrick or I will serve you the bread and cup and pray with you before you leave.

You’re also invited to join us next Sunday, January 1 for worship at 10am.  We’ll read scripture, sing, and share with one another, then renew our commitment to be people who serve the Lord while we Love, Learn and Listen.

May God bless you this week—equipping you to bless others around you!

Peace,

David Bridges
