Shower Ministry Donations
As the weather turns colder, the needs of the shower ministry to the homeless shift to supplying jackets, blankets, and wintry weather items like scarves and gloves. If you have new or used items to donate, you can drop them outside the double doors of the education building labeled “Shower Ministry.” Thank you for your continued support of this ministry.
Worship Center Flowers
The flower chart for 2024 is in the foyer. We invite you to sign up for one or more dates to supply altar flowers for our Sunday worship service.
Church staff will contact you ahead of time to remind you of your date and to discuss the wording of the announcement if you like. Thank you for helping to enhance the beauty of our sanctuary as we gather to worship!
Bell Friends
We are thankful to our Bell Friends for their recent performance at Serenity Gardens Memory Care facility. Their joyful sounds are a blessing to all. Visit the church website to see a photo of them during their performance.
Celesta Rea Funeral Arrangements
Our heartfelt sympathy goes to the Rea family as they grieve the loss of Celesta Rea, who passed away peacefully on Christmas morning. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 5th at Friendswood Friends Church, with visitation at 1 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm and interment in Friendswood Friends Church cemetery.
In place of flowers, the family suggests that donations in Celesta’s memory be made to either Friendswood Friends Church (https://FriendswoodFriends.org/give 502 S. Friendswood Dr.) or Hands of Hope, an organization that supports and uplifts women. (Checks should be made payable to Free Methodist Church-USA with Hands of Hope in the memo line, P.O. Box 51710, Indianapolis, IN 46251).

Activities Returning from Break
Students in grades 6th-12th grade will resume Sunday School Classes on January 7th at 9:00 AM. The adult class that meets in the bride’s room next to the coffee café will also resume on Sunday, January 7th at 9:00 AM.
Core and Fuse return to their scheduled activities on January 7th at normal times and places.
We can’t wait to see our Tweens back on January 11th after school. Gym Kids will be back on Friday, January 12th.
On January 14th, Children ages 3-5th grade will resume their Sunday School class at 9:00 AM in Friends Center.
The All-Church Bible Study and Kidzone will resume on January 14th at 5:00 PM. Bible Quiz will also begin practices again on January 14th.
