| With Sympathy We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Tori Burkett. Tori was known for her faith, kindness, and deep love for her family and friends. Please keep the Burkett family and all who loved Tori in your prayers. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 13th, from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Friendswood Friends Church Worship Center. A service celebrating Tori’s life will be held Monday, September 14th at 1:00pm, also in the Worship Center. A private burial will follow. |

| Shower Ministry Volunteers Needed |
| Carter Powell and the Shower Ministry Team is in need of volunteers on Tuesday mornings. Each week a team of volunteers drive into Houston with a shower trailer to provide clothing and hygiene items to those experiencing homelessness. The group meets at the church at 6:00 am, drives into town together, serves in a safe environment, and then returns to the church by 10:30 am. The team goes into town every week, but your commitment can be as little as once a month. | August Income: $ 100,649.25 August Expense: $ 131,857.55 Cash flow deficit for August: $ -31,208.30 Year-to-date Income as of 8/31: $ 725,888.38 Year-to-date Expense as of 8/31: $ 808,229.47 Year-to-date Cash flow deficit: $ -82,341.09 Please note that the reason for higher than usual expenses is the project to switch our HVAC from the chill water system that we have been using to DX units. Final payments on the electrical and HVAC portion of the work will be made in September, with some remaining work on fencing, sheetrock repair and painting probably carrying into October. We have received a few designated gifts to help with this project, but we knew going in that there would be a significant impact on the 2026 budget due to the scope and expense involved in making this change.
