This is the night we celebrate that the King of Glory emptied himself in love, put on flesh, and became one of us. This is the great love story that changes the world. It is good news for all people for all time. So wherever you came from, whatever place you’re in. Tonight, we worship because God’s love story meets us all as a baby in Bethlehem 2000 years ago named Jesus. From Isaiah 9: The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness— on them light has shined. For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
