Luke was born and raised in Haviland, Kansas, along with his two older sisters. Growing up attending Haviland Friends Church, Luke was always involved in children’s and youth activities. After graduating high school, Luke achieved his Associates Degree at OSUIT. During his time there, Luke started fighting bulls. He went on to win the 2023 Bullfighters Only World Championships in Las Vegas.

During Luke’s time at home post-graduation, he started volunteering every Wednesday night with the Haviland Friends Youth. Working alongside his uncle Michael (youth pastor at HFC) for four years, Luke began to develop an interest in youth ministry.

In those 4 years, he had the opportunity to direct Camp Quaker Haven for 2 of those years with Friendswood Friends Church’s former youth pastor. When FFC started to look for a new youth pastor, Luke’s name was highly recommended by her and many others. After many interviews and meet-and-greets, both Luke and FFC discerned it would be a great fit!

Luke moved to Friendswood during the summer of 2025 and started in the fall. In the spring, Luke married his wife, Sallianne, who is a long-time member of FFC with deep family roots in the church and community.
