Good morning friends!
This past Sunday, our Student Leadership Team hosted the annual high school volleyball tournament. One of the highlights was getting to see many of the adult volunteers jump in together as a team to play with our students. Play is so important! Students who were playing other games or eating snacks paused to come watch the “old guys”. I love to see the ways in which you love and support our students, whether through prayer, play, or providing them snacks. All of these things are an expression of love and care for our young people. I am grateful!
In the 3rd and 4th grade classroom, Michelle Hancock painted a mural for Tena and the students. It is stunning! The verse on the wall is 1 Timothy 4:12. I have found this verse to be my prayer for the students who walk through our doors.
1 Timothy 4:12 NIV
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
Will you join me in praying for our students? Pray with me that they will rise up and do great things for God. Pray that God uses this next generation to do far greater things for his kingdom. Pray that this next generation learns from both the wisdom and the mistakes of those who have gone before them and that they boldly rise up to the challenges they will face. Pray for this next generation–for they are our next engineers, our farmers, our missionaries, our pastors, our professors, our teachers, our authors, our doctors, our business owners, our artists. Together, the generations of now and the generations to come, are the church. May we continue to walk alongside our young people faithfully!
Love,
Katelyn
