This past Sunday, Tena hosted a parenting class led by Barbara Gruener. The premise of the class was for parents to focus on their well-being in order to model proper emotional and spiritual health for their children. After sitting with the many lessons that one could take from this class, a lesson on our Father’s parenting continues to speak loudly this week: “Satan knows your name, and calls you by your sin. God, your father, knows your sin, but calls you by your name.”

The enemy wants to define us by our failures, struggles, insecurities, and past mistakes. He whispers lies into our hearts. But here’s the truth: Satan’s accusations are never the final word.

God, on the other hand, in the midst of our weaknesses, sees us for who we truly are—His beloved children, made in His image, redeemed by grace. While our sins may stain us, they do not define us. God calls us by name because He sees beyond our failures to the person He created us to be.

When the enemy tries to label us by our shortcomings, remember that God’s voice speaks louder. Isaiah 43:1 says “But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.’”

While we are not all in the messy middle of parenting, we are all children of God— fearfully and wonderfully made. Know you are forgiven, you are loved, and you are His. Let this truth echo in your heart today: You are more than your mistakes—God calls you by your name, and that is who you truly are.

Holy Week
During Holy Week, April 14th-20th, we invite you to journey to the cross through prayer.

Monday- Wednesday, we will have the chapel open from  6:30-8:00 pm providing a sacred space for reflection and prayer. Through various interactive prayer stations, we invite you and your family to travel from Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem to His crucifixion, preparing our hearts for the hope of resurrection. Come and go as you are able to take time to pause, pray, and experience the depth of His love.

Maundy Thursday, also at 6:30 pm, an additional communion station will be added and available for reflection on the last supper.

On Good Friday, there will be a traditional evening service in the chapel at 6:30pm. The prayer journey will remain open until 8:30 pm. Nursery care will be provided.

On Easter Sunday, April 20th, an Easter Sunrise Service will take place near the picnic tables in front of Friends Center at 6:45 am. Then, join us at 10:00 am for an Easter Worship Service.

Palm Sunday
Your child/children are invited to be part of a special Palm Sunday celebration with our Children’s Church! Once again this year, the kids will take part in a joyful Palm Sunday parade by waving palm branches and then singing two songs for the congregation. We’ve been practicing these songs during Children’s Church over the past several weeks, of which the kids are doing a fantastic job!
If your child would like to participate, please have them arrive on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM in the chapel for one last rehearsal as well as passing out the palm branches before the parade begins. The children will then perform during the 10:00 AM worship service.

This is such a wonderful opportunity for the kids to share their excitement for Easter and to bless our church family with their music. Thank you for encouraging your child to be part of this meaningful moment. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

After the performance, we’ll head back to Children’s Church for one of our favorite traditions our annual petting zoo! It’s always a highlight for the kids and a fun way to continue the celebration. Parents and church family, join us outside by the picnic tables after the worship service for some mini refreshments and fellowship to kick off Holy Week.

Looking forward to a beautiful morning of worship together!
